- Electronic booking online via the Omahoito service: https://soite.terveytesi.fi. The service is open 24/7.
Log on to the Omahoito service with your online bank user identifiers (or some other means of strong identification) in order to book an appointment for yourself or a person younger than 12.
All appointments are available via the online Omahoito service, but cannot be seen in the system until 15 days before the actual vaccination day. Days on which appointment times are available are marked with green in the web calendar.
A person who is under 18 years old may make a decision about the coronavirus vaccination if a health care professional assesses that the person due to his/her age and level of development is capable of making decisions on his/her own care. There is no age limit for a child’s right of self-determination. That is why the situation is assessed case by case. For most children aged 5 to 11, vaccination requires consent by the parents. Consent is given with this form (in Finnish).
Children aged 5 to 11 are vaccinated using BioNTech-Pfizer’s Comirnaty vaccine, with version of the product that uses a smaller dose and is especially intended for this age group.
