A possible coronavirus exposure during a bus trip between Kannus and Kokkola on the 15th of January 2021
Three new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Soite’s area, as we informed earlier today. The contact tracing of the third case has now been completed and the chain of infection is now known. This means the chains of infection have now been traced when it comes to all three cases.
One of the cases involves bus passengers possibly being exposed to a coronavirus infection on Pohjola Matka’s route Kannus-Kokkola-Kannus on 15th of January 2021. Coronavirus exposure may have occurred on the bus that left Kannus on the 15th of January 2021 at 7.55 am and arrived in Kokkola at 8.45 am. Likewise, coronavirus exposure may have occurred during the return trip on the 15th of January 2021 between 11.35 am and 12.25 pm on Pohjola Matka’s bus from Kokkola to Kannus.
We ask all passengers who travelled with these buses on the 15th of January 2021 to observe themselves for any symptoms and book an appointment for coronavirus testing even if they have only mild symptoms.
Lately, somewhat fewer coronavirus tests than before have been taken in Soite’s area, and thus we would like to heavily stress that you should seek out testing even if you have only mild symptoms indicative of the coronavirus, and that you should do this immediately when symptoms appear.
Remember to use facial masks according to recommendations!
Stop the spread of the coronavirus:
- Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer frequently
- Cough in your sleeve or in a tissue
- Keep a distance to other people
- Use a mask
- If you have symptoms, stay at home and seek out coronavirus testing early and even if you only have mild symptoms
- Install and use the Koronavilkku coronavirus app
- When it’s your turn, take the coronavirus vaccine.
It is important to seek out coronavirus testing even if you only have mild symptoms!
