  Cur­rent Coro­n­avirus Infor­ma­tion in Soite’s Area on May 16th 2022

  The inci­dence of coro­n­avirus con­tin­ues to decrease in Soite’s area, but the coro­n­avirus dis­ease is still preva­lent in the area. Oth­er viral dis­eases are also spread­ing in the area. 

  Dur­ing last week (week 19), a total of 272 new coro­n­avirus infec­tions were con­firmed in Soite’s tests. Last week, 925 coro­n­avirus tests were tak­en. The share of pos­i­tive tests was 29 %. This does not include infec­tions con­firmed through home tests, so the actu­al num­ber is even higher.

  The inci­dence of coro­n­avirus con­tin­ues to decrease in Soite’s area, but the coro­n­avirus dis­ease is still preva­lent in the area. Oth­er viral dis­eases are also present in the area. Dur­ing last week (week 18), a total of 313 new coro­n­avirus infec­tions were con­firmed in Soite’s tests. Last week, cir­ca 1,000 coro­n­avirus tests were tak­en. The share of pos­i­tive tests was 31 %. This does not include infec­tions con­firmed through home tests, so the actu­al num­ber is even higher.

  Cur­rent Coro­n­avirus Infor­ma­tion in Soite’s Area on the 2nd of May 2022

  The inci­dence of coro­n­avirus con­tin­ues to slow­ly decrease in Soite’s area, but the coro­n­avirus dis­ease is still preva­lent in the area. The need for hos­pi­tal care is still on a high lev­el as coro­n­avirus infec­tions have been con­firmed on two wards at the cen­tral hospital.

  Dur­ing last week (week 17), a total of 419 new coro­n­avirus infec­tions were con­firmed in Soite’s tests. Last week, 1,046 coro­n­avirus tests were tak­en. The share of pos­i­tive tests was 40 %. This does not include infec­tions con­firmed through home tests, so the actu­al num­ber is even higher.

  . There is still a large num­ber of coro­n­avirus infec­tions in Soite’s area, but a clear decrease can be detect­ed. The gen­er­al, region­al rec­om­men­da­tion on face masks ceas­es to be in effect, but the group of author­i­ties still rec­om­mends remote work with a hybrid model.

  Cur­rent Coro­n­avirus Infor­ma­tion in Soite’s Area on April 25th 2022

  The inci­dence of the coro­n­avirus con­tin­ues to decrease slow­ly in Soite’s area, but there is still a great deal of COVID-19 in cir­cu­la­tion. The need of hos­pi­tal care is on a high lev­el espe­cial­ly among the elder­ly and per­sons who belong to a risk group. Dur­ing last week (week 16), 552 new coro­n­avirus cas­es were con­firmed in Soite’s tests. 17 patients with COVID-19 are cur­rent­ly being treat­ed at Cen­tral Ostro­both­nia Cen­tral Hospital.

  Cur­rent Coro­n­avirus Infor­ma­tion in Soite’s Area on April 19th 2022

  The inci­dence of coro­n­avirus con­tin­ues to slow­ly decrease in Soite’s area, but the need for hos­pi­tal care is still on a high lev­el. Dur­ing last week (week 15), a total of 637 new coro­n­avirus infec­tions were con­firmed in Soite’s tests. Last week, cir­ca 1,300 coro­n­avirus tests were tak­en. The share of pos­i­tive tests was 48 %. This does not include infec­tions con­firmed through home tests, so the actu­al num­ber is even higher. 

  Eigh­teen COVID-19 pos­i­tive patients are cur­rent­ly being treat­ed at Cen­tral Ostro­both­nia cen­tral hos­pi­tal. There are cur­rent­ly no coro­n­avirus patients in inten­sive care.

  A slight decrease in the coro­n­avirus infec­tions in Soite’s area — the face mask rec­om­men­da­tion for schools will be conceded

  The Cen­tral Ostro­both­nia region­al COVID-19 author­i­ty task group met on Wednes­day 13th of April 2022 to assess the region­al coro­n­avirus sit­u­a­tion and rec­om­men­da­tions. The num­ber of COVID-19 infec­tions still remains high in the Soite area, but a slight decrease can be seen in the num­ber of infec­tions. The face mask rec­om­men­da­tion for schools ceas­es to be in effect, but the exten­sive rec­om­men­da­tion on the use of face masks and a rec­om­men­da­tion on work­ing from home util­is­ing the hybrid mod­el is still in effect in Soite’s area.

  The coro­n­avirus inci­dence is still high in Soite’s area. Dur­ing the past 14 days a total of 1,648 coro­n­avirus infec­tions have been con­firmed in Soite’s tests and the inci­dence of infec­tions dur­ing 14 days is cur­rent­ly 2,129/100,000 res­i­dents. Last week, a total of 863 new coro­n­avirus infec­tions were con­firmed in Soite’s test­ing — the num­ber is some­what low­er than dur­ing the pre­ced­ing weeks. How­ev­er, not all infec­tions come to the knowl­edge of Soite’s health care pro­fes­sion­als, as home test­ing is rec­om­mend­ed as the pri­ma­ry test­ing method.

  The inci­dence of coro­n­avirus is slow­ly decreas­ing in Soite’s area, but the need for hos­pi­tal care is still on a high lev­el. Dur­ing last week (week 14), a total of 863 new coro­n­avirus infec­tions were con­firmed in Soite’s tests. Last week, 1,550 coro­n­avirus tests were tak­en. The share of pos­i­tive tests was 56 %. This does not include infec­tions con­firmed through home tests, so the actu­al num­ber is even higher.

  Fif­teen COVID-19 pos­i­tive patients are cur­rent­ly being treat­ed at Cen­tral Ostro­both­nia cen­tral hos­pi­tal. There are cur­rent­ly no coro­n­avirus patients in inten­sive care.

  Mes­sage about Soite’s coro­n­avirus sit­u­a­tion­al pic­ture on the 4th of April 2022 — the infec­tions con­firmed dur­ing March were main­ly caused by the omi­cron sub-vari­ant BA.2

  The coro­n­avirus sit­u­a­tion has eased some­what in the Soite area, although the num­ber of infec­tions and the need for hos­pi­tal­iza­tion remain on a high lev­el. Dur­ing last week (week 13), a total of 805 new coro­n­avirus infec­tions were con­firmed in Soite’s tests. Last week, 1,569 coro­n­avirus tests were tak­en. The share of pos­i­tive tests was 51 %. This does not include infec­tions con­firmed through home tests, so the actu­al num­ber is even higher.

  Some of the tests tak­en in Soite are sent for a more detailed analy­sis, sequenc­ing, in order to deter­mine the virus vari­ant. Analy­ses have shown that the coro­n­avirus wave that occurred in Soite’s area in March was caused main­ly by the omi­cron sub-vari­ant BA.2. The symp­toms are the same in both sub-vari­ants, but sub-vari­ant BA.2 is more infec­tious than the pre­vi­ous omi­cron virus and this part­ly explains the high num­ber of infections.

The num­ber of coro­n­avirus infec­tions remains high in Soite’s area. An exten­sive rec­om­men­da­tion on the use of face masks and a rec­om­men­da­tion on work­ing from home util­is­ing a hybrid mod­el are still in effect in Soite’s area.
