AstraZeneca’s vaccine is replaced with other vaccines in Soite – already scheduled vaccination appointments will not be cancelled

In accordance with a recommendation from the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare THL, Soite interrupts vaccination with AstraZeneca’s vaccine. When it comes to vaccinations that have been scheduled for next week (22nd – 28th of March), the AstraZeneca vaccine will be replaced with Pfizer’s and Moderna’s mRNA vaccines. This is made possible through scheduling vaccination appointments depending on the number of vaccines during the next weeks.

In Soite, approximately 300 vaccination appointments have been scheduled for next week for persons under the age of 70 who belong to risk group 1. The change of vaccine does not require measures by the clients.

Vaccinations of persons over the age of 70 will continue as planned.
