Soite remains on the coronavirus base level — no new coronavirus cases
Central Ostrobothnia’s regional COVID-19 authority task group gathered on Wednesday 5th of May 2021 to evaluate the regional situational picture as well as the regional recommendations. Soite’s area remains on the coronavirus base level. The regional recommendations remain unchanged and in effect until 16th of May 2021. No new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Soite’s area.
Last week (week 17), one new coronavirus infection was confirmed in Soite’s area. The percentage of positive samples was 0.1 % (number of tests 1300). The incidence of infections during 14 days is 1.3/100,000 citizens. No patients are currently receiving treatment for COVID-19 at the Central Hospital. All the recent coronavirus infections have been traced to 100%.
The regional epidemiological situation continues to be good and Soite’s area remains on a calm base level. Theregional recommendations regarding social gatherings remain unchanged. In the Regional State Administrative Agency’s (AVI) decision, the maximum number of participants in public events and public gatherings is 50 people. Regarding private social gatherings, it is recommended that you adhere to the recommendations issued by Central Ostrobothnia’s regional COVID-19 authority task group, which state that the maximum number of participants is 20 people. The regional COVID-19 authority task group has its next meeting on Wednesday 12th of May 2021. During its meeting next week, the authority task group aims to issue guidelines for private gatherings so that the recommendation covers the upcoming graduation and school celebration weekend.

No new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Soite’s area. The latest positive coronavirus infection in the area was confirmed on the 28th of April 2021.
