Soite’s coronavirus task group informs on the 15th of April 2021
Soite’s coronavirus task group has a meeting on Thursdays and when needed. The preparedness is in accordance with plan.
The current situation of infection
No new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Soite’s area. No patients with COVID-19 are treated at the moment at the Central Ostrobothnia Central Hospital.
The incidence numbers when it comes to the coronavirus in Soite’s area have been updated: In the last 14 days, 12 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Soite’s area and the incidence is currently 15.4/100 000 citizens in the last 14 days.
In all, 262 coronavirus infections have been confirmed in Soite since the pandemic began.
The coronavirus vaccinations of the citizens are progressing well in Soite’s area. Vaccinations are now progressing when it comes to all persons over the age of 65 and 18–64-year-old persons who belong to risk group 1 or 2 and have an illness or condition that is very highly or highly predisposing to severe coronavirus disease.
There are still vaccination appointments available in the online booking system at https://soite.terveytesi.fi for persons who have the right to a vaccination right now. The online booking is open 24/7.

In Soite’s area, persons who belong to risk group 1 or 2 and are 18–64 years old are vaccinated with mRNA vaccines (Pfizer-BioNtech’s Comirnaty or Moderna). Persons over the age of 65 are vaccinated with Astra Zeneca’s vaccine in accordance with instructions from The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare THL. Please note! An exception are persons over the age of 65 who have had a sinus thrombosis or who have had a low platelet count in connection with treatment with heparin (thrombocytopenia, HIT): these persons are vaccinated with mRNA vaccines (Pfizer-BioNtech’s Comirnaty or Moderna).
