The most important part is to follow the hygiene recommendations and seek out coronavirus testing if you are not yet vaccinated. Current recommendations regarding the coronavirus epidemic within Soite’s area are listed on Soite’s corona website: https://korona.soite.fi/en/recommendations/

Those who are still unvaccinated should seek out coronavirus testing immediately even if they only have very mild symptoms indicative of coronavirus. The coronavirus test result should be awaited at home and in quarantine so as not to potentially expose others to the coronavirus, for example in the workplace.

Those who have received two doses should seek out coronavirus testing if they have been exposed to a confirmed coronavirus case and are experiencing symptoms or if they are suffering from symptoms of a respiratory infection and belong to a risk group or work in the social and health care services.

Instructions for event organizers

Instructions for event organizers are found on Soite’s coronavirus website: https://korona.soite.fi/en/instructions-to-event-organizers/.

By law, the COVID-19 passport is intended for situations where there are restrictions that have been set in place by authorities in order to prevent the spread of the epidemic. The COVID-19 passport may also be used at private gatherings, for example during pre-Christmas celebrations, in order to ensure the coronavirus safety at the event.

Why should I take the coronavirus vaccine?

  1. Coronavirus vaccines give effective protection against serious forms of COVID-19.
  2. The vaccines also protect against the long-term effects of COVID-19, the so-called long COVID, which may cause prolonged tiredness, shortness of breath, cough and joint and chest pain.
  3. By taking the vaccine, you can protect not only yourself but also others. The coronavirus vaccination significantly reduces the secretion of the virus and its spreading from one person to another.
  4. The risks associated with the vaccine are significantly smaller than those associated with coronavirus infection. Link: Information about the coronavirus vaccination
  5. With vaccinations, we can return to a more normal life and the need for restrictions is reduced. Everyone who decides to take the vaccine makes a difference.
