The workload associated with coronavirus tests causes delays in getting test results
No new coronavirus infections have been confirmed in Soite’s area, but there are delays in the test results. Soite’s coronavirus testing has been very busy in recent days, and the analysis of the results in Nordlab’s laboratory has unfortunately been delayed. It can currently take 2–3 days to get a coronavirus test result. After coronavirus testing, tested individuals must remain in home quarantine until the result has been received. We ask that you remain patient.
We still urge you to seek out coronavirus testing without hesitation, even if you have only mild symptoms indicative of a coronavirus infection. An appointment for coronavirus testing can easily be booked through the Omaolo service online or via Soite’s Coronavirus Helpline 06 828 7499 / via the children’s hospital, phone 06 826 4444.
The list of potential exposure situations has been updated as follows:
- Sunday 22nd of August 2021 11 am to 12.30 pm The Toivonen Animal Park and The Peaseant Museum (Toivosen eläinpuisto ja talonpojanmuseo)
- Link: List of all possible exposures to COVID-19 in Soite’s area
We ask those who have visited possible exposure sites to observe themselves for any symptoms and to book an appointment for coronavirus testing even if they only have mild symptoms. Please observe, however, that even if you have visited a potential exposure site, you do not need to contact Soite by phone if you do not have any symptoms. It is enough if you follow the coronavirus recommendations i.e. keep the number of close contacts to a minimum, avoid unnecessary social gatherings and be mindful of proper use of face masks, maintain a safety distance of 2 meters and exercise good hand hygiene. If you have even just mild symptoms, please book an appointment for coronavirus testing.
