Electronic booking of an appointment to a coronavirus test is expanded to the entire Soite area

Central Ostrobothnia Joint Municipal Authority For Social And Health Services Soite has carried out a pilot project testing electronic booking of appointments for coronavirus testing. The electronic booking system is linked to the Omaolo service and has been tested concerning the drive-in testing site in Kokkola. The experiences from the pilot project have been positive and, therefore, the electronic booking of appointments is expanded to the entire Soite area.

As of Monday 2nd of November 2020, it is also possible to book an appointment for a coronavirus test to the drive-in testing sites at the infection receptions in Kannus and Veteli. You get access to the booking system via the symptom check-up in Omaolo if the symptom check-up recommends a test.

In the Omaolo service, a person who has symptoms that fit the coronavirus fills in the symptom check-up. The Omaolo service will use the answers to assess the likelihood that the client has a coronavirus infection. When needed, the client will be offered a chance to book an appointment for coronavirus testing in Soite. The electronic booking of an appointment for coronavirus testing is conveyed to Soite’s appointment book via Soite’s Omahoito service. The electronic booking works through strong identification.

The coronavirus symptom check-up in Omaolo and the electronic booking work parallel to Soite’s coronavirus helpline.

We continue to recommend that those who live in Soite’s area contact Soite even if they only have mild symptoms that fit the coronavirus. From now on, Soite can be contacted by filling in the Omaolo symptom check-up. If your symptoms require it, your contact information can be conveyed to Soite. Alternatively, you can book a time yourself via Omaolo to a drive-in testing site. The coronavirus helpline is still open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on weekends from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., phone 06 828 7499. It is prohibited to drive onto the drive-in lane without an appointment.
