Coronavirus vaccinations are progressing well within Soite’s area. Currently, vaccination is open for all residents over the age of 16 as well as persons aged 12 to 15 whobelong to risk group 1 or 2.
There are a good number of vaccination appointments available and more are added all the time. The goal is to add appointments for at least one week at a time. If you book an appointment now, the second vaccination is given after 12 weeks. An effective protection against a coronavirus infection is then achieved in the autumn (more information on the efficacy of vaccines on the website of the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare THL). The coronavirus vaccinations take us towards a more normal life — one vaccination at a time! A vaccine gives you protection against the serious forms of the coronavirus disease and if you are vaccinated you help protect others.
You can book an appointment for vaccination electronically via Soite’sOmahoito service online. An appointment may be booked electronically via the Omahoito service for an adolescent if the adolescent has the codes that are needed for electronic identification (online banking codes or a mobile certificate). If electronic identification is not possible, an appointment should be booked by phone. In the future, we strive to make phone booking more available.
Appointment booking by phone will open anew on Tuesday 13th of July 2021 at 12 noon and more appointments will also become available in the Omahoito electronic appointment booking systemon Tuesday at 12 noon. The Omahoito service is open 24/7. Days on which appointment times are available will be marked with green in the web calendar.
You can follow how the vaccination progresses in the area with the help of Soite’s corona vaccination indicator, which is updated on Monday afternoons.
