Information on the 26th of July 2021 on the situational picture in Soite’s area when it comes to the coronavirus epidemic
The current situation of infection
No new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Soite’s area. The latest case was confirmed on 24th of July 2021. The regional incidence is currently 6,5/100 000 citizens in 14 days. One person who has been infected with the coronavirus is cared for at the Central Ostrobothnia Central Hospital.
Last week 1 250 coronavirus tests were carried out in the area, of which 4 were positive. Thus, the percentage of positive tests is 0,3% of all tests that have been made.

The vaccinations of the citizens within Soite are progressing with regards to all persons over the age of 16 as well as 12–15-year-old adolescents who belong to risk group 1 and 2.
Soite’s corona vaccination indicator has been updated. Of residents in the Central Ostrobothnia hospital district aged 12 years or older, a total of 76% have received their first coronavirus vaccine dose. Of inhabitants I the area aged 12 and older, 39% have received their second vaccine dose. Of the total population in the area, 65% have received their first dose.

The telephone booking for coronavirus vaccinations opens again on Tuesday 27th of July 2021 at 12 noon on the phone number 06 828 7488 and more appointments are also opened in the electronic Omohoito service on Tuesday at 12 noon.

- Tuesday July 27th 12 noon to 3.30 pm at Kruunupyy vaccination site (Kruunupyy health station, Säbråntie 1, 68500 Kruunupyy)
- Tuesday July 27th 12 noon to 3.30 pm at Perhonjokilaakson vaccination site (Passeli’s old building, Kirkkotanhua 1, 69700 Veteli))
- Thursday July 29th 12 noon to 3.30 at Kannus vaccination site (the parish house, Valtakatu 20)
- Wednesday 4th of August 9 am to 3 pm at Kokkola vaccination site (Halpa-Halli’s old building, Kaarlelankatu 7)
- Thursday 5th of August 9 am to 3 pm at Kokkola vaccination site (Halpa-Halli’s old building, Kaarlelankatu 7)
The appointment-free vaccination day only applies to the first dose. An appointment for the second dose of the coronavirus vaccine is given at the time of the first vaccination.
Changing vaccination appointment for the booster vaccine
The Soite area generally follows a 12 week vaccination interval in accordance with THL’s guidelines. The booster vaccine appointment may be rescheduled to an earlier time only for special reasons. For example, summer travelling plans are not a valid reason to change the appointment time for the second vaccine dose to an earlier date.
