The cur­rent sit­u­a­tion of infection

No new coro­n­avirus cas­es have been con­firmed in Soite’s area. The lat­est case was con­firmed on 24th of July 2021. The region­al inci­dence is cur­rent­ly 6,5/100 000 cit­i­zens in 14 days. One per­son who has been infect­ed with the coro­n­avirus is cared for at the Cen­tral Ostro­both­nia Cen­tral Hospital.

Last week 1 250 coro­n­avirus tests were car­ried out in the area, of which 4 were pos­i­tive. Thus, the per­cent­age of pos­i­tive tests is 0,3% of all tests that have been made.

Typ­i­cal symp­tom indica­tive of coro­na are for exam­ple fever, sore throat, cough, headache, mus­cle pain„ loss of smell or taste, tired­ness. A coro­n­avirus test may be pos­i­tive even if only one or two of these symp­toms are present.

The vac­ci­na­tions of the cit­i­zens with­in Soite are pro­gress­ing with regards to all per­sons over the age of 16 as well as 12–15-year-old ado­les­cents who belong to risk group 1 and 2.

Soite’s coro­na vac­ci­na­tion indi­ca­tor has been updat­ed. Of res­i­dents in the Cen­tral Ostro­both­nia hos­pi­tal dis­trict aged 12 years or old­er, a total of 76% have received their first coro­n­avirus vac­cine dose. Of inhab­i­tants I the area aged 12 and old­er, 39% have received their sec­ond vac­cine dose. Of the total pop­u­la­tion in the area, 65% have received their first dose.

There is a good num­ber of coro­n­avirus vac­ci­na­tion appoint­ments avail­able, and tomor­row Tues­day 27th July 2021, addi­tion­al appoint­ments will become avail­able in the elec­tron­ic appoint­ment book­ing calendars.

The tele­phone book­ing for coro­n­avirus vac­ci­na­tions opens again on Tues­day 27th of July 2021 at 12 noon on the phone num­ber 06 828 7488 and more appoint­ments are also opened in the elec­tron­ic Omo­hoito ser­vice on Tues­day at 12 noon.

Fur­ther­more, Soite will arrange vac­ci­na­tion days with­out appoint­ment book­ing. Dur­ing the appoint­ment-free vac­ci­na­tion days, the vac­ci­na­tion site is open for you to come and get your first dose of coro­n­avirus vac­cine at a time when it is con­ve­nient for you.

Appoint­ment free vac­ci­na­tion day will be arranged on:

  • Tuesday July 27th 12 noon to 3.30 pm at Kruunupyy vaccination site (Kruunupyy health station, Säbråntie 1, 68500 Kruunupyy)
  • Tuesday July 27th 12 noon to 3.30 pm at Perhonjokilaakson vaccination site (Passeli’s old building, Kirkkotanhua 1, 69700 Veteli))
  • Thursday July 29th 12 noon to 3.30  at Kannus vaccination site (the parish house, Valtakatu 20)
  • Wednesday 4th of August 9 am to 3 pm at Kokkola vaccination site (Halpa-Halli’s old building, Kaarlelankatu 7)
  • Thursday 5th of August 9 am to 3 pm at Kokkola vaccination site (Halpa-Halli’s old building, Kaarlelankatu 7)

The appoint­ment-free vac­ci­na­tion day only applies to the first dose. An appoint­ment for the sec­ond dose of the coro­n­avirus vac­cine is giv­en at the time of the first vaccination.

Chang­ing vac­ci­na­tion appoint­ment for the boost­er vaccine

The Soite area gen­er­al­ly fol­lows a 12 week vac­ci­na­tion inter­val in accor­dance with THL’s guide­lines. The boost­er vac­cine appoint­ment may be resched­uled to an ear­li­er time only for spe­cial rea­sons. For exam­ple, sum­mer trav­el­ling plans are not a valid rea­son to change the appoint­ment time for the sec­ond vac­cine dose to an ear­li­er date.
