Infor­ma­tion on the coro­n­avirus sit­u­a­tion on 19th of March 2020

Soite’s coro­n­avirus task group has a dai­ly meet­ing at 12 o’clock and it updates the sit­u­a­tion pic­ture. The prepa­ra­tions have pro­ceed­ed as planned.

At the moment, the sit­u­a­tion is still calm and there have been no new pos­i­tive test results in Soite’s area after the two pos­i­tive test results last week­end. Test­ing has been done. The coro­n­avirus clin­ic and the coro­n­avirus helpline have not been congested.

Soite is going to get its own test­ing device, but the sched­ule is still unclear.

The sit­u­a­tion is calm in Soite’s units, and the per­son­nel has a good atti­tude. Per­son­nel has been sur­veyed and placed where per­son­nel will be need­ed most. This work con­tin­ues. School­ing has been increased for the per­son­nel in order to pre­pare for an epidemic. 

There is a mes­sage on the web giv­ing retired and oth­er avail­able pro­fes­sion­als in health care a chance to reg­is­ter for work in Soite.

Remote work can be done accord­ing to instruc­tions and under the super­vi­sion of one’s boss. Those who can­not do remote work get a pack­et of study mate­ri­als that they can start going through. 

Units in Nurs­ing and care have been sur­veyed in order to see what units can, if need­ed, be con­vert­ed for the use of coro­n­avirus patients. This work con­tin­ues and more infor­ma­tion is giv­en later. 

Soite is also start­ing a home coro­na team that con­cen­trates on home care of patients with an infec­tious dis­ease. This team is pre­pared in Nurs­ing and care.
