Information on the coronavirus situation on the 12th of May 2020

Soite’s coronavirus task group has a daily meeting and updates the situational picture. The situation is still fairly calm in Soite’s area and the preparations proceed according to plan.

No new coronavirus cases have been confirmed today in Soite’s area. No coronavirus patients are cared for on wards. Overall, 23 coronavirus infections have now been confirmed in Soite’s area.

The situation is fairly calm at the infection receptions and on the coronavirus helpline. Coronavirus tests are done with a low threshold when a person has symptoms of the coronavirus.

We wish to say as a reminder, that the guidelines on safe distances and the restrictions on gatherings apply even though the schools will open. In other words, one should avoid gatherings of more than ten persons and keep a distance of about 2 metres from others. The changes in gathering restrictions come to effect in June in accordance with what the Finnish government has decided.

The list on changes in the opening hours and other changes in Soite was not changed.
