Information on the coronavirus situation on the 15th of June 2020

Soite’s coronavirus task group has a daily meeting and updates the situational picture. The situation is still calm in Soite’s area and the preparations proceed according to plan.

No new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Central Ostrobothnia’s hospital district today or during the weekend. No coronavirus patients are cared for on wards. Overall, 31 coronavirus infections have been confirmed in Soite’s area.

The situation is calm at the infection receptions and on the coronavirus helpline. Coronavirus tests are done with a low threshold on Soite’s coronavirus receptions when a person has symptoms of the coronavirus.

The ban on visitors is still being further lifted at Soite’s units. Within the handicap services, the ban on visitors is has been lifted at lighter care home units such as at units for supported living and assisted living facilities (except for at enhanced round-the-clock care units). 1–2 visitors at a time are allowed. Visitors have to be healthy and follow the corona related hygiene guidelines. The care home personnel will give visitors further guidance.

The task group also prescribed that the visitor ban at the central hospital’s department for neurological rehabilitation can be eased just as within the handicap services. At the rehabilitation department, 1–2 visitors at a time are allowed, and they have to be healthy and follow the corona related hygiene guidelines.

Otherwise, the visitor ban is still effective at the central hospital’s departments. Regarding its lifting, Soite awaits further instructions regarding the exceptional situation in Finland during the near future.

The list of changes in opening hours in Soite due to the coronavirus epidemic was updated on behalf of the handicap services.
