Information on the coronavirus situation on the 17th of June 2020

Soite’s coronavirus task group has a daily meeting and updates the situational picture. The situation is still calm in Soite’s area and the preparations proceed according to plan.

No new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Central Ostrobothnia’s hospital district today. No coronavirus patients are cared for on wards. Overall, 31 coronavirus infections have been confirmed in Soite’s area. The situation is calm at the infection receptions and on the coronavirus helpline. Coronavirus tests are done with a low threshold on Soite’s coronavirus receptions when a person has symptoms of the coronavirus.

The ban on visitors is in the process of being lifted at Soite’s units. The central hospital and general medical departments in Kokkola, Tunkkari och Kannus will instead apply restrictions on visiting. The hospital and general medical departments will allow 1–2 visitors (who show no symptoms at all) at a time. It is important to remember that seriously ill patients are being treated on the wards. Visitors have to use surgical masks that cover the nose and mouth and must follow the corona related instructions for hygiene. The departments have reserved surgical masks that will be given out to visitors. The restrictions on visiting will be specified as needed in accordance with national guidelines.

No changes were made in the list of changes in the opening hours and other changes in Soite.
