Information on the coronavirus situation on the 27th of March 2020

The situation is still fairly calm in Soite’s area and the preparations proceed according to plan. The preparations and the cooperation between different units has proceeded in an exemplary manner!

No new coronavirus cases have been found today either. The coronavirus clinic and the helpline for questions about the coronavirus have been even quieter than at the beginning of the week and less testing has been done. We are still waiting for the results from some of the testing that was done last week (Friday and Saturday). The delay is due to congestion at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare Thl.

Helsinki University Hospital shares its experiences on care of patients with covid-19 weekly with the health care districts. They give us very useful tips and observations about what we should concentrate on in our preparations.

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health has given instructions on how to take the extraordinary circumstances into account, especially in primary health care. Soite has already acted in the way the ministry recommends. Remote receptions are primary when it comes to non-urgent care.

The task group also observed that the bosses have been given instructions concerning employees from Uusimaa. A waiting period of 7 days applies to employees from Uusimaa before they are allowed to come to Soite’s unit.

The list on changes in the opening hours and other changes in Soite was changed when it comes to nurses in school and student health care. Nurses were appointed to take calls from pupils/parents.

We wish to remind you of the fact that we inform on the coronavirus situation on the weekends only if the situation changes.
