Infor­ma­tion on the coro­n­avirus sit­u­a­tion on the 28th of April 2020

Soite’s coro­n­avirus task group has a dai­ly meet­ing and updates the sit­u­a­tion­al pic­ture. The sit­u­a­tion is very calm in Soite’s area and the prepa­ra­tions pro­ceed accord­ing to plan.

The sit­u­a­tion is unchanged: no new coro­n­avirus cas­es have been con­firmed today in Soite’s area. No coro­n­avirus patients are cared for on wards. Over­all, 16 coro­n­avirus infec­tions have been con­firmed in Soite, and all chains of infec­tion have been traced in Soite’s area. 

The sit­u­a­tion is very calm on the coro­n­avirus clin­ic, in the infec­tion units and on the coro­n­avirus helpline. Thanks to effec­tive pre­ven­tive mea­sures the num­ber of oth­er res­pi­ra­to­ry infec­tions has also decreased. Soite’s units have not been con­tact­ed by many patients with res­pi­ra­to­ry infection.

Soite tests patients who have symp­toms of the coro­n­avirus with a low thresh­old and we wish to say as a reminder that if you have even just mild symp­toms of the coro­n­avirus, you should call Soite’s coro­n­avirus helpline, 06 828 7499, open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Symp­toms may include: 

  • fever
  • cough
  • headache
  • shortness of breath
  • muscle aches
  • fatigue
  • runny nose
  • nausea
  • diarrhoea

Loss of the sense of smell and/or taste has also been report­ed as symp­toms of the infection.
