Infor­ma­tion on the coro­n­avirus sit­u­a­tion on the 7th of April 2020

Soite’s coro­n­avirus task group has a dai­ly meet­ing at 12 o’clock and updates the sit­u­a­tion pic­ture. The sit­u­a­tion con­tin­ues to be calm in Soite’s area and the prepa­ra­tions pro­ceed accord­ing to plan.

No new coro­n­avirus cas­es have been found today in Soite’s area. Over­all, eight coro­n­avirus infec­tions have now been con­firmed in Soite’s area. THL reports the coro­n­avirus infec­tions on its web­page accord­ing to home munic­i­pal­i­ty irre­spec­tive of where the test was done. Soite reports the num­ber that is reg­is­tered to Cen­tral Ostrobothnia.

The sit­u­a­tion is calm on the coro­n­avirus helpline. The coro­n­avirus clin­ic has been busier than dur­ing the week­end and about 30 tests have been done per day. Soite is get­ting its own coro­n­avirus test­ing appa­ra­tus with­in approx­i­mate­ly two weeks. Hav­ing a test­ing appa­ra­tus in Soite will speed up the test­ing process and makes it pos­si­ble to increase the num­ber of tests.

The task group also decid­ed that entrance A2 at the Cen­tral Hos­pi­tal is locked at East­er. A phone will be installed at the door to make it pos­si­ble to con­tact a guard. The main entrance is locked in accor­dance with a pre­vi­ous deci­sion (locked on week­days from 4 p.m. and locked dur­ing weekends).
