New coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Soite’s area
In all, eight new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Soite on the weekend. Five of the infected persons live in Soite’s area. Most of the infections are connected to the extensive chain of infections in Vasa. The chains of infection are known and contact tracing of exposed persons is still underway. Approximately two hundred people are in quarantine. All of the infected persons have only mild symptoms and they are cared for at home.
Among the exposed persons are persons who work in Soite. They have been put into quarantine. Personal protective equipment has been used in client situations.
Fourteen coronavirus infections have been confirmed in Soite’s area in the last two weeks. Overall, 55 coronavirus infections have been confirmed in Central Ostrobothnia health care district during the whole pandemic. The incidence is currently 17.9/100 000 citizens in Soite’s area when it comes to the last 14 days. The corona task group has a meeting today Monday 5th of October 2020 at 12 p.m. We will give more information about the situation after the meeting.
