Possible exposure situations related to the Hermes coronavirus infection
Kokkola’s ice hockey team Hermes was exposed to the coronavirus during an out-of-town game in Eastern Finland between February 12th and 13th 2021. The teams were placed in voluntary quarantine due to the possible exposure and were urged to seek out testing. One of the players gave a positive test and therefore the entire team was placed in quarantine in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act.
The infection has possibly caused coronavirus exposure in the following places:
- Sunday 14th of February 2021 between 7 pm and 8 pm: the Friends & Brgrs restaurant in Pietarsaari
- Monday 15th of February 2021 between 11 am and 12 noon: the cafeteria at Centria University of Applied Sciences in Kokkola
There were no close contacts during the meals, but exposure to the virus is still possible.
We ask those who have visited the places mentioned above to observe their symptoms and to seek out coronavirus testing early.
