Psy­cho­log­i­cal first aid and advice for the elderly

Soite has opened a helpline for psy­cho­log­i­cal first aid. You can call the helpline if you are psy­cho­log­i­cal­ly wor­ried about the coro­n­avirus sit­u­a­tion and expe­ri­ence psy­cho­log­i­cal symp­toms such as anx­i­ety because of the situation.

Advice for the elder­ly on the coro­n­avirus situation

On the same num­ber, advice is offered the elder­ly. Per­sons who are over 70 years old can call the num­ber if they have ques­tions about the coro­n­avirus sit­u­a­tion. The helpline for advice for the elder­ly answers prac­ti­cal ques­tions about the coro­n­avirus sit­u­a­tion such as “Where can I order deliv­ery of gro­ceries” or “How can I get my med­i­cine from the pharmacy”.

Please do not call this num­ber if you sus­pect a coro­n­avirus infec­tion or need advice on treat­ment — Soite’s coro­n­avirus helpline helps you with these ques­tions, phone 06 828 7499. Calls are tak­en on week­days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on week­ends from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Instruc­tions for the elderly

The Min­istry of Social Affairs and Health and The Finnish Insti­tute for Health and Wel­fare (THL) have updat­ed the coro­n­avirus instruc­tions for per­sons over the age of 70 on the 19th of May 2020. Soite encour­ages the senior cit­i­zens in the area and their friends and rel­a­tives to read the instruc­tions and to act correspondingly.
