Information on the 26th of April 2021 on the situational picture in Soite regarding the coronavirus
The current situation of Infection
No new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Soite’s area. The latest positive coronavirus infection in the area was confirmed on Monday 12th of April 2021.
The key figures in the situational picture have been updated:
- The number of coronavirus cases during the last 14 days: 2 (the previous number was 5)
- The incidence of infections during the last 14 days/100 000 citizens: 2.6 (the previous number was 6.5)
- No patients infected with coronavirus are being treated at Central Ostrobothnia’s Central Hospital.
- 0% of the coronavirus tests are positive. During week 16, 1270 people were tested for coronavirus in Soite.
- All the recent coronavirus infections have been 100% traced.
- The epidemiological situation in Central Ostrobothnia: base level
Coronavirus vaccinations are progressing well within Soite’s area. Currently, vaccination is open for all residents over the age of 60 as well as 16–64-year-old persons who belong to risk group 1 or 2 and have an illness or condition that is very highly or highly predisposing to severe coronavirus disease.
Appointment booking by phone will open again on Tuesday 27th of April 2021 at 12 noon and more appointments will also become available in the Omahoito electronic appointment booking system on Tuesday at 12 noon. Appointment times will be added to the electronic booking system at other times as well as they become available due to cancellations or sudden increases in the number of vaccines. The Omahoito service is open 24/7. Days on which appointment times are available are marked with green in the web calendar.
On Tuesday 27th of April 2021, approximately 1300 vaccines become available in the booking system. The occupational health care providers in the area receive 1400 vaccine doses. At this point, about 4000 persons have the right to a vaccination in Soite’s area.
The information about vaccinations has now been updated in Soite’s corona vaccination indicator. All the information about vaccinations in Soite’s area has not registered in the vaccination register of The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare THL, but Soite’s corona vaccination indicator is up to date. The information in THL’s vaccination register and map will be updated retroactively when the error has been corrected.
In all, 35% of the citizens in Central Ostrobothnia health care district have now received their first vaccine dose. 91% of persons over the age of 70 in Soite’s area have now been vaccinated. Soite’s area has about 10 820 citizens who are 16–69 years old and belong to risk group 1 or 2 and 77% of the persons in this group have now received their first vaccine dose.

Soite wants to thank the residents in its area for doing a good job at following the coronavirus recommendations. The coronavirus situation in Central Ostrobothnia has remained calm, let us continue in the same vein. Maintain social distancing during first of May, i.e. celebrate at a distance it only in the company of your closest circle. Please continue observing regional recommendations and regulations so that infections do not begin to spread and so that we all may have a better summer this year.

Usually, you get an appointment for a coronavirus test for the same day. The coronavirus test result will be sent automatically to your mobile phone as a text message if you have agreed to this. You can also check your result in the Omakanta service. You have to stay in quarantine at home until you receive the test result.
