Soite continues to distribute face masks to low-income households

Central Ostrobothnia Joint Municipal Authority for Social and Health Services Soite will continue to distribute face masks to low-income citizens during weeks 40–41. The national recommendation is that citizens buy their own face masks. Free masks are intended for low-income citizens who cannot afford masks themselves.

We distribute primarily fabric masks, four per person. Included with the masks will be instructions for correct use and washing of the mask. The majority of the masks are reusable fabric masks that have been used by employees in Soite’s units. After use, the fabric masks have been washed industrially and then stored correctly in storage.

The distribution of masks is confidence-based. No one who visits the distribution points needs to prove they belong to a low-income household or that they need free masks. Face masks will be handed out only for personal need and use.
