Soite continues on the base level when it comes to the coronavirus epidemic — no new cases today
The Central Ostrobothnia regional COVID-19 group of authorities had a meeting on the 7th of April 2021 in order to assess the situational picture and the regional recommendations. Soite’s area continues to be on the base level when it comes to the coronavirus epidemic. The validity of the regional recommendations was extended to the 30th of April 2021. No new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Soite’s area.
During last week (week 13), 13 positive coronavirus cases were confirmed in Soite’s area. 86 persons were put into quarantine. The share of positive test results was 0.9% (of 1461 tests). The incidence during the past 14 days was 20.6/100 000 residents. No patients are cared for at the hospital because of COVID-19. All recent cases have been traced to 100%.
The coronavirus situation has worsened in the area because of chains of infection and exposure that started before Easter from gatherings during spare time and because of further cases that the chains have led to. The further cases have mostly been confirmed in persons who have been in quarantine and no significant spreading of the illness can be seen.
As not all criteria for the acceleration phase are met and as the past few days have been calm, the group of authorities deemed that Soite’s area continues on the base level when it comes to the coronavirus epidemic. The following days will show if the grounds for keeping Central Ostrobothnia on the base level will hold up.
The validity of the regional recommendations was extended to the 30th of April 2021. All the regional regulations and recommendations regarding the coronavirus epidemic within Soite’s area are listed on Soite’s corona website: https://korona.soite.fi/en/recommendations/
The regulation by The Regional State Administrative Agency on restricting the number of participants in public events and public gatherings to 20 persons is in effect through the 30th of April 2021. The group of authorities recommends that no gatherings of over 10 persons are organized in the area.
The regional COVID-19 group of authorities has its next meeting on the 14th of April 2021. If the coronavirus situation requires it, the group will meet before that in order to possibly make a decision on moving to the acceleration phase.
