Soite’s coro­n­avirus task group informs on the 11th of Feb­ru­ary 2021

Soite’s coro­n­avirus task group has a meet­ing on Mon­days, Thurs­days and when need­ed and it updates the sit­u­a­tion­al pic­ture. The pre­pared­ness is in accor­dance with plan.

The cur­rent sit­u­a­tion of infection

One new coro­n­avirus case has been con­firmed in Soite’s area The infec­tion is linked to the chain of infec­tion in Skelleft­eå. 12 infec­tions and 2 fur­ther infec­tions have come to Soite’s area from the Skelleft­eå chain, in total 14 infec­tions. The pos­i­tive coro­na tests are being ana­lyzed at the Finnish Insti­tute for Health and Wel­fare in order to find out if the ill­ness is caused by a mutat­ed virus and we are wait­ing for the results. A total of 41 peo­ple have been placed in quar­an­tine in rela­tion to the Skelleft­eå infections.

No patients with COVID-19 are cur­rent­ly being treat­ed at the Cen­tral Ostro­both­nia Cen­tral Hospital.

Over the past 14 days, a total of 18 coro­n­avirus cas­es have been con­firmed in Soite and the inci­dence of infec­tions dur­ing the last 14 days is cur­rent­ly 23 /100 000 cit­i­zens The num­ber of coro­n­avirus infec­tions that have been con­firmed in Soite since the pan­dem­ic began is now 193.

Vac­ci­na­tions

Coro­n­avirus vac­ci­na­tions of the elder­ly are pro­gress­ing with­in Soite’s area. 96 per­cent of the res­i­dents at around-the-clock care home units have now been vac­ci­nat­ed. We will open the appoint­ment book­ing to coro­n­avirus vac­ci­na­tions for elder­ly per­sons above the age of 80 who live at home and their infor­mal care­givers as well as oth­er elder­ly per­sons (over the age of 70, e.g. spous­es) who live in the same house­hold next week on Tues­day 16th of Feb­ru­ary at 12 noon. The appoint­ment book­ing will be opened every Tues­day at 12 noon as long as we have vac­cine dos­es available.

  • Opens Tuesdays at 12 noon as long as there are appointments available. If you call during other times, you will hear a recorded message. You can also book an appointment for an elderly person by phone.

The elec­tron­ic appoint­ment book­ing runs more smooth­ly and we rec­om­mend that you book your appoint­ment online if pos­si­ble. If an infor­mal care­giv­er or part­ner who lives in the same house­hold is to be vac­ci­nat­ed at the same time, the appoint­ment book­ing must be done by phone for both.
