Soite’s coronavirus task group informs on the 19th of October 2020
Soite’s coronavirus task group has a meeting on Mondays, Thursdays and when needed and it updates the situational picture. The preparedness is in accordance with plan.
Five new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Soite’s area during the weekend. The chains of infection are known and those that have been exposed to the virus have been contact traced and put into quarantine.
One patient with Covid-19 is cared for at the Central Ostrobothnia Central Hospital. In all, 80 persons are now in home quarantine and quarantine in Soite’s area.
The incidence is currently 36/100 000 citizens in Soite’s area when it comes to the last 14 days. Under 1% of the coronavirus tests are positive. Over 80% of the chains of infection are known. 28 coronavirus infections have been confirmed in Soite’s area in the last two weeks. Overall, 82 coronavirus infections have now been confirmed in Central Ostrobothnia hospital district during the whole pandemic.
We will be updating the situational picture on korona.soite.fi on weekdays at approximately 12 p.m. even if no new coronavirus cases have been confirmed on the previous weekday. We will inform about new coronavirus cases as we have done so far: we will inform on Mondays about cases that have been confirmed during the weekend, unless the cases have led to mass exposure or require special measures. If infection clusters come to light, we will inform about the infections as soon as possible, both on weekdays and on weekends.
It is important to get tested even if one only has mild symptoms
Lately, approximately 200 tests have been done per day in Soite’s area. We continue to stress that it is important to get tested even if one only has mild symptoms!
