Soite’s coronavirus task group informs on the 30th of November 2020
Soite’s coronavirus task group has a meeting on Mondays, Thursdays and when needed and it updates the situational picture. The preparedness is in accordance with plan.
Soite’s area moved into the acceleration stage on the 29th of November 2020 when it comes to the coronavirus epidemic (link to the information). The recommendations that are in effect are in the situational picture on Soite’s coronavirus website.
No new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Soite’s area after the cases we informed about during the weekend. Two persons who have been infected with the coronavirus are cared for at the Central Ostrobothnia Central Hospital.
The Central Hospital is doing preparations in case of an increased need of hospital care and in case of a need to move personnel resources because of the coronavirus situation. The number of elective operations is decreased. Soite is preparing a plan on changes in Soite because of the coronavirus situation and we will inform more about these changes on Wednesday 2nd of December 2020 after the group of authorities has had its meeting.
When it comes to transportation services, the coronavirus task group decided that transportations that are in accordance with the Social Welfare Act and the Act on Services and Assistance for the Disabled are not combined until after the 21st of December 2020.
We inform about the coronavirus situation daily (also during weekends) when needed. If the situation is unchanged, we will not publish a separate message, but we update the situational picture on the website everyday.
Everyone can help prevent infections
A broader recommendation on the use of face masks is in effect in Soite’s area. A face mask is one method of preventing the spread of coronavirus infections.
Stop the coronavirus from spreading:
- Wash your hands
- Cough into your sleeve or into a disposable handkerchief
- Keep a distance to other people
- Use a mask
- If you have symptoms, stay at home and seek out coronavirus testing
- Install and use the Koronavilkku coronavirus app
It is important to get tested even if one only has mild symptoms!
