Soite’s coronavirus task group informs on the 4th of February 2021
Soite’s coronavirus task group has a meeting on Mondays, Thursdays and when needed and it updates the situational picture. The preparedness is in accordance with plan.
The current situation of infection
No new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Soite’s area neither yesterday nor today. The latest coronavirus infection was confirmed on Tuesday 2nd of February 2021.
However, a possible case of exposure has occurred at Heinolankaari’s ABC service station on Wednesday 27th of January 2021 at 5 pm. We ask those who visited the ABC service station at that time to observe themselves for any symptoms and quickly book an appointment for coronavirus testing even if they have only mild symptoms.
No patients with COVID-19 are currently being treated at the Central Ostrobothnia Central Hospital.
Over the past 14 days, a total of 17 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Soite and the incidence of infections during the last 14 days is currently 21.8 /100 000 citizens
The number of coronavirus infections that have been confirmed in Soite since the pandemic began is now 182.
Vaccinations
Coronavirus vaccinations of the elderly are progressing within Soite’s area. The vaccinations at the around-the-clock care home units continue and mass vaccinations of the general population began today 4th of February 2021 with elderly persons over the age of 80 who live at home as well as informal caregivers and other elderly persons (persons over the age of 70) who live in the same household. The mass vaccination process at the vaccination sites has had a good start.
Appointment booking for the mass vaccinations next week will be opened on Monday 8th of February at 12 noon. The target group is still the same, i.e. elderly persons above the age of 80 who live at home and their informal caregivers as well as other elderly persons (over the age of 70) who live in the same household.
You can book an appointment for corona vaccination either electronically or by phone (link to instructions). We are currently adding more personnel to the phone line for appointment booking and we hope that the line will not be as busy as the first time. The electronic appointment booking runs more smoothly and we recommend that you book your appointment online if possible. If an informal caregiver or partner who lives in the same household is to be vaccinated at the same time, the appointment booking must be done by phone for both persons.
Appointments can not be booked at the vaccination sites. Instead, an appointment must be booked in advance by phone or online. The vaccination sites can, unfortunately, also not accept forms on acting on behalf of another person (puolesta asiointi).
You can follow how the vaccination progresses in the area with the help of Soite’s corona vaccination indicator, which is updated on Mondays at the address: https://korona.soite.fi/en/the-coronavirus-vaccines/
