Soite’s helpline for questions about the coronavirus
THIS TEXT HAS BEEN UPPDATED ON THE 13TH OF MARCH 2020
Soite has opened a regional helpline that you can call if you suspect a coronavirus infection.
The number is 06 828 7499.
Calls are taken every day at 8–20.
The telephone hours are changed if needed and depending on the situation. We are monitoring the situation continuously.
A nurse who assesses if there is reason to suspect a coronavirus infection takes the calls. If it seems possible the caller has a coronavirus infection, s/he is given advice on what to do.
No general health advice is given on the helpline. If the caller’s symptoms do not fit a coronavirus infection, s/he is advised to contact other health care services.
Soite has opened a regional helpline, so that questions about the coronavirus do not burden e.g. the phones at the common emergency clinic (yhteispäivystys/samjouren) or the health stations.
There is also a national helpline on the coronavirus that provides general information about the virus. The number is 0295 535 535. We recommend you call the national helpline if you need general advice on the coronavirus.
The national helpline is open on weekdays at 8–21 and on Saturdays at 9–15. The helpline doesn’t give health advice or advice about urgent, acute symptoms.
