Soite’s coronavirus task group informs on the 10th of June 2021
Soite’s coronavirus task group has a meeting on Thursdays. The preparedness is in accordance with plan.
The current situation of infection
No new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Soite’s area. The latest coronavirus case was confirmed on the 8th of June 2021. One person who has been infected with the coronavirus is cared for at the Central Ostrobothnia Central Hospital.
14 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Soite’s area in the past 14 days and the incidence is currently 18/100 000 citizens in the area.
Soite’s area is in the acceleration phase of the coronavirus epidemic. The Central Ostrobothnia regional COVID-19 group of authorities has its next meeting on Wednesday 16th of June 2021 in order to assess the regional coronavirus situation and recommendations. If the regional coronavirus situation remains calm, the possibility of easing the regional recommendations and transferring to the baseline of the coronavirus epidemic may be considered before midsummer. The Regional State Administrative Agency of Western and Inland Finland (AVI) has made a new decision on the 9th of June 2021 on restrictions regarding public events and general gatherings indoors and outdoors in Central Ostrobothnia hospital district (excepting Reisjärvi) during the period 10th of June — 22nd of June 2021. According to the decision, public events and general gatherings may be organized indoors with more than 10 participants and in enclosed outdoor spaces outdoors with more than 50 participants. A prerequisite is that the guidelines by the Ministry of Education and Culture and The Institute for Health and Welfare from the 31st of May 2021 (in Finnish) are followed. The coronavirus vaccinations of the citizens are progressing well in Soite’s area. The vaccinations of the citizens are now progressing with regards to all persons over the age of 16. In other words, all age groups that have a right to a vaccination (persons over the age of 16) can now get vaccinated in Soite’s area.
The coronavirus vaccinations take us towards a more normal life — one vaccination at a time! A vaccine gives you protection against the serious form of the coronavirus disease and if you are vaccinated you help protect others. The Institute for Health and Welfare THL has updated its guidelines with regards to persons who have received two vaccine doses; if you are fully vaccinated, it is fairly safe to meet other people without a mask and without keeping safe distances in certain situations – more information in THL’s press release (in Finnish).
An appointment for a vaccination can be booked online on the web in Soite’s Omahoito service.
The telephone booking for coronavirus vaccinations opens again on Tuesday 15th of June 2021 at 12 pm and more appointments are also opened in the electronic Omahoito service on Tuesday at 12 pm Vaccination appointments are added to the electronic appointment booking even at other times if appointments are cancelled or if the number of vaccines suddenly increases. The Omahoito service is open 24/7. The days that still have appointments available are marked with green colour in the web calendar.

Changes in Soite
The list on changes in Soite due to the coronavirus epidemic has been updated as follows:
- Activities are arranged with special arrangements at all activity centres until 30th of July 2021. More information on the special arrangements is given by the activity centres.
- Transportations of clients are not merged in Soite’s area until 15th of August 2021.
