Soite’s coronavirus task group informs on the 3rd of June 2021 — one new coronavirus infection
Soite’s coronavirus task group has a meeting on Thursdays. The preparedness is in accordance with plan.
Starting next week, we will inform about the coronavirus situation always on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. In other words, we will no longer inform about the coronavirus situation daily. We will inform about the coronavirus situation more often if needed.
The current situation of infection
One new coronavirus case has been confirmed in Soite’s area. The infected person was already in quarantine. Two persons who have been infected with the coronavirus are cared for at the Central Ostrobothnian Central Hospital. Approximately 100 persons are now in quarantine in Soite’s area.
56 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Soite’s area in the past 14 days and the incidence is currently 73/100 000 citizens in the area. 1% of the coronavirus tests are positive.
We ask all who have even just mild symptoms that fit the coronavirus to seek out coronavirus testing. One should not move outside the home even if one only has mild symptoms!
Safe parties — tips for organisers and participants
The approaching festive season and graduation parties may mean a risk of rising coronavirus cases. The recommendations issued by the regional health authorities concerning private events must be followed when parties are arranged. In addition to this, the same principles should be kept in mind as at other times during the epidemic. The most important thing is to exercise good hand and coughing hygiene, to keep safe distances, to use a face mask when needed and to make sure the Koronavilkku coronavirus app is functioning on the phone. One should seek out testing if one has even just mild symptoms that fit the coronavirus. If one has even just mild symptoms, one should not go to parties and one should stay at home.
In addition to the regional epidemic situation, practices that support coronavirus safety must be taken into account when attending or organising parties.
- Organise a party only for your closest friends and family and consider staggering the arrival of guests.
- If possible, hold parties outdoors.
- If you have even just minor symptoms that indicate coronavirus, cancel the party or your participation in the party. Get tested immediately.
- Exercise good hand and coughing hygiene. Guests should be reminded of washing their hands and be provided with sufficient amounts of hand sanitiser.
- Remember to maintain sufficient safety distances even during parties.
- Wear a face mask whenever possible.
- Make sure the Koronavilkku application is downloaded on your phone and is activated.

Vaccinations
The coronavirus vaccinations of the citizens are progressing well in Soite’s area. Vaccinations are now progressing when it comes to all persons over the age of 30 and 16–64-year-old persons who belong to risk group 1 or 2 and have an illness or condition that is very highly or highly predisposing to severe coronavirus disease. Starting next Tuesday, 25–29-year-old persons may also book an appointment for a vaccination.
The telephone booking for coronavirus vaccinations opens again on Tuesday 8th of June 2021 at 12 p.m. and more appointments are also opened in the electronic Omahoito service on Tuesday at 12 p.m. Vaccination appointments are added to the electronic appointment booking even at other times if appointments are cancelled or if the number of vaccines suddenly increases. The Omahoito service is open 24/7. The days that still have appointments available are marked with green colour in the web calendar.
There are technical problems with the transfer of vaccination certificates to the My Kanta pages and not all information is transferred at the moment. If needed, you may ask your own health station for a vaccination certificate.
