Coronavirus testing of children moves in Kokkola to Soite’s paediatric emergency clinic on the 13th of October 2021
Coronavirus testing of children is carried out in Kokkola in a container near the paediatric emergency clinic, close to the main entrance to the central hospital starting on the 13th of October 2021. Coronavirus testing of children can also be carried out at the drive-in-testing site. The infection receptions in other municipalities in the area continue with testing as before.
Children do not need go to a coronavirus test if they have mild symptoms of the common cold. Tests are recommended for persons under the age of 12 if they have symptoms and it has been confirmed that they have been exposed to coronavirus infection, and also if there are persons in the family over 16 years of age who do not have full vaccine protection. A child may also be referred to a coronavirus test based on a doctor’s assessment.
