Coro­n­avirus test­ing of chil­dren moves in Kokko­la to Soite’s pae­di­atric emer­gency clin­ic on the 13th of Octo­ber 2021

Coro­n­avirus test­ing of chil­dren is car­ried out in Kokko­la in a con­tain­er near the pae­di­atric emer­gency clin­ic, close to the main entrance to the cen­tral hos­pi­tal start­ing on the 13th of Octo­ber 2021. Coro­n­avirus test­ing of chil­dren can also be car­ried out at the dri­ve-in-test­ing site. The infec­tion recep­tions in oth­er munic­i­pal­i­ties in the area con­tin­ue with test­ing as before.

Chil­dren do not need go to a coro­n­avirus test if they have mild symp­toms of the com­mon cold. Tests are rec­om­mend­ed for per­sons under the age of 12 if they have symp­toms and it has been con­firmed that they have been exposed to coro­n­avirus infec­tion, and also if there are per­sons in the fam­i­ly over 16 years of age who do not have full vac­cine pro­tec­tion. A child may also be referred to a coro­n­avirus test based on a doc­tor’s assess­ment.
