The regulations and recommendations remain unchanged in Soite’s area — a Christmas that is safe when it comes to the coronavirus is secured
The COVID-19 regional group of authorities in Central Ostrobothnia had a meeting on Tuesday the 22nd of December 2020 and analysed the situational picture in Soite’s area. Soite’s area continues in the acceleration stage of the coronavirus epidemic and the restrictions and recommendations that are in effect remain unchanged, so that a Christmas that is safe when it comes to the coronavirus is secured.
The situation is calm in Soite’s area when it comes to the coronavirus. Only one coronavirus case was confirmed during the previous week. The COVID-19 regional group of authorities in Central Ostrobothnia wishes to thank the citizens in Soite’s are for following the instructions so that Central Ostrobothnia is now able to celebrate Christmas in a calm situation when it comes to the coronavirus.
Because Christmas probably makes people move about more and the coronavirus situation is worse in the regions near Central Ostrobothnia, the group of authorities decided to keep the restrictions and regulations unchanged. Soite’s area is still deemed to be in the acceleration stage. The restriction on gatherings by the Regional State Administrative Agency is in effect until the 17th of January 2021: The Regional State Administrative Agency limited the number of participants at public events and public gatherings to ten people. Soite recommends that people avoid close contacts outside of the family at their own discretion and the maximum number of people who may gather at one time is 10 even at private gatherings.

Despite the good numbers in Soite’s area, numbers that are equivalent to the base level of the coronavirus epidemic, it is important to follow the current regulations and recommendations during the Christmas period. If the coronavirus situation continues to be good, the restrictions and recommendations can be made less strict at a later stage and e.g. hobbies can be started again. By following the instructions, we can secure a Christmas that is safe when it comes to the coronavirus for us all.
