The current situation of infection

One new coronavirus case has been confirmed in Soite’s area. The infection is connected to an earlier chain of infections and the infected person was already in quarantine. No new persons have thus been exposed to the virus.

  • 0.2% of the coronavirus tests are positive. During week 14, 1585 coronavirus tests were taken in Soite.
  • The traceability of the chains of infection is 80 %
  • The epidemiological situation in Central Ostrobothnia: base level

The regional regulations and recommendations regarding the coronavirus epidemic within Soite’s area are listed on Soite’s coronavirus website:

The coronavirus vaccinations of the citizens are progressing well in Soite’s area. Vaccinations are now progressing when it comes to all persons over the age of 65 and 18–64-year-old persons who belong to risk group 1 or 2 and have an illness or condition that is very highly or highly predisposing to severe coronavirus disease.

The telephone booking for coronavirus vaccinations opens again on Tuesday 13th of April 2021 at 12 p.m. and more appointments are also opened in the electronic Omahoito service on Tuesday at 12 p.m. Vaccination appointments are added to the electronic appointment booking even at other times if appointments are cancelled or if the number of vaccines suddenly increases. The Omahoito service is open 24/7. The days that still have appointments available are marked with green colour in the web calendar.

On Tuesday 13th of April, approximately 3000 vaccines become available in the booking system, and at this point, about 5000 persons have the right to a vaccination in Soite’s area.

In all, 30.1% of the citizens in Central Ostrobothnia health care district have now received their first vaccine dose. When it comes to persons over the age of 70, 88% have received their first vaccine dose.

Soite’s area has about 10 820 citizens who are 16–69 years old and belong to risk group 1 or 2. 40% of the persons in this group have now received their first vaccine dose. Persons who belong to risk group 1 or 2 are no longer listed separately in Soite’s corona vaccination indicator as a person may belong to both groups at the same time.

According to a preliminary plan, the coronavirus vaccinations continue in different age groups with five-year intervals. Each age group that is to be vaccinated consists of about 5000 persons in Soite’s area. The following group that gets the right to a vaccination are 60–64-year-old persons. We will inform about vaccinations for new groups more specifically later. Please follow Soite’s channels on the web and in the social media as well as the local media in order to see when your age group has the right to a vaccination!
